Spatiotemporal Patterns in Land Use/Land Cover Observed by Fusion of Multi-Source Fine-Resolution Data in West Africa

چکیده

Land Use/Land Cover (LULC) change is a major global concern and topic of scientific debate. In West Africa, the key trend among changes past few years loss natural vegetation related to in different LULC categories, e.g., water bodies, wetland, bare soil. However, not all detected these categories are relevant for management intervention resource-constrained continent, as massive dominant types may be due errors maps. Previous analysis large discrepancies existing maps Africa. Here, we applied an open synergistic framework update improve Africa at five-year intervals from 1990 2020—updating them finer spatial resolution 30 m. Next, spatial–temporal patterns present with intensity framework, focusing on following periods: 1990–2000, 2000–2010, 2010–2020. A faster annual rate overall transition was 1990–2000 2010–2020 than 2000–2010. We observed consistent increases shrubland grassland periods, which confirms re-greening rangeland By contrast, forestland areas experienced decreases over entire period, indicating deforestation degradation. net cropland drought period gains subsequent periods. The settlement category also gained actively Net losses wetland land were bodies period. highlighted active systematic issued clarion call intervention. simultaneous gross gain raises food security concerns should act early warning sign policy makers that marginal geographic locations under threat, despite expansion this study area. Instead dynamics irrelevant, vital identifying well cost-effective approach.

Multi-source data fusion and super-resolution from astronomical images

Virtual Observatories give us access to huge amounts of image data that are often redundant. Our goal is to take advantage of this redundancy by combining images of the same field of view into a single object. To achieve this goal, we propose to develop a multi-source data fusion method that relies on probability and band-limited signal theory. The target object is an image to be inferred from ...

Land Use/Land Cover Classification Based on Multi-resolution Remote Sensing Data

The paper summarized pre-existing research works relating to land use/land cover classification based on multi-resolution remote sensing data. According to the features of regions, we carried out of the land use/land cover classification of level III classes in 148 group of Xinjiang agricultural reclamation eighth division. The land use/land cover classification system divided land in study are...

Land Cover/land Use Classification in a Semiarid Environment in East Africa Using Multi-temporal Alternating Polarisation Envisat Asar Data

In central Kenya, in the ecological transition zone from semi -humid to semi-arid, climatic and human induced land cover changes have an immense impact on the ecosystem. Therefore, investigations were made to analyse the potential to separate 10 detailed land use/land cover classes in this area from multitemporal ENVISAT ASAR data. Besides mean, different texture measures like variance, coeffic...

Image Fusion-Based Land Cover Change Detection Using Multi-Temporal High-Resolution Satellite Images

Change detection is usually treated as a problem of explicitly detecting land cover transitions in satellite images obtained at different times, and helps with emergency response and government management. This study presents an unsupervised change detection method based on the image fusion of multi-temporal images. The main objective of this study is to improve the accuracy of unsupervised cha...
